The summer concert series have now concluded for another year! A big thanks to all the bands that supported us across the summer! We hope to see you all again next year.

The summer series will follow a similar format as previous years, every Sunday between 27^th June-29^th August 2010 bands will perform between 3pm-5pm on the bandstand.

Bandstand Renovation

Mill Meadows bandstand bounced back at its official re-launch on Sunday 21^st June 2009..

The event took place 83 years on from when the bandstand was first opened in 1926 by Mayor Barford. Following a major makeover to the bandstand, the late Mayor Frank Branston officially opened the bandstand with a traditional silver key.

When first launched many years ago the Bedford Bandstand caused controversy over the lack of local bands, this time however we have Bedford Town Band launched the stand’s new era with a selection of favourite tunes.

Work on the area includes; replaced iron work, a new floor and a fixed ceiling. Flowers have also been planted to brighten up the area.
